INSTRUMENTS
The Balalaika is a Russian stringed instrument with three strings and a triangulated body. They come in different sizes depending on their pitch. The smallest is the piccolo (high pitch) to the largest as the contrabass balailaka. This instrument accompanies folk music a lot.
The Khromka or garmon is a button accordion widespread in Russia during the Soviet era. It is a free reed wind instrument where the buttons are located on each side of the bellows. Picture a piano and a bagpipe combined.
The authentic Gudok is another stringed instrument with three strings, and a pear-like shape body. It is played with it in a vertical position, and "It has 3 strings: 2 of them were tuned in unison and the 3d - one fifth higher."
